A car accident can happen in an instant. And as scary as it can be, it can be just as painful to be blamed for an accident that wasn't your fault. That's why an in-car camera can be invaluable when the unexpected happens. After reviewing over 360 models and testing 52 of them, we found that the best in-car camera is the Nexcam One 4K.

It offers the sharpest video we've seen, it's the easiest camera to use, and it's loaded with handy features you won't find on most other cameras of this type in this price range. We'll go over some of the features you should keep in mind when deciding which camera is best for your needs. We'll also talk about what these features really mean, so you'll know how to choose an in-car camera that's right for you.

THE MOST INTUITIVE : NEXCAM DUO 4K

The Duo 4K comes with high-end features such as 2160p (4K/UHD) resolution on its main camera, night vision and 24-hour surveillance of parked cars to catch hit-and-run drivers, but it costs half as much as some comparable models.

In addition to a front-facing camera, it has an inward-facing camera, so it documents your car's movements (and your surroundings) from three different angles.

It's compact (a little smaller than most digital cameras) and relatively unobtrusive on a windshield, and its 3-inch screen is bright and easy to read. Its menu is intuitive and its control buttons are clearly marked and easily accessible. The dashcam is designed to work even in extremely hot or cold climates. It also has a built-in GPS.

THE MOST PERFORMING : NEXCAM 360 4K

This on-board camera provides crisp, high-resolution images day and night. It also has key features such as 24-hour parked car monitoring and GPS tracking, despite a price tag that is less than half that of some other competitors.

360° HD Recording - The in-car camera can simultaneously record 360° around the vehicle and passenger compartment with crystal clear 4K resolution.Featuring a high-performance CMOS sensor, a large F1.4 lens with 6 lenses looking at the road ahead and behind in rotation, this car camera is able to automatically increase the exposure in dark situations to capture clear video footage. It can provide extremely accurate license plate numbers, as well as vehicle models.
